WEBRADIO IN PERIL, July 2007
Two years ago I produced this 29 minute documentary on the new and increasing costs of streaming music online. There was a big deadline looming over radio stations and online streamers on July 15th 2007, that was the hook as they say.
Now a lot more has happened. So much more that I’m certainly not keeping track of it all (not unless someone wants to pay me to produce another documentary).
In related news, my employer has been forced to take down 5 years of archives online. So my old link to this audio is no longer available from the kpfa web site. Which is why I post it here. The mp3 is pretty lofi because trumblr has a 10MB max
